Having completed her Bachelor’s of Science degree in East Carolina University’s Elementary Education program with a reading concentration in December, 2006, followed closely by her Master’s of Arts in Education – Reading Instruction (July 2010), and Academically Intellectually Gifted Certification (July 2011), Pamela Mould offers her up-to-date knowledge in the areas of technology integration in the classroom, reading instruction, and classroom management. As someone who is “Big Idea” oriented, and thorough in long range planning, Mrs. Mould continues to be actively involved in studying through Professional Development Opportunities such as North Carolina Sustainable Forestry workshop, as a member of the North Carolina Association for the Gifted & Talented, presenting at ECU's Gifted Education conference, striving to maintain her high levels of current, research-based knowledge in all areas of education, including curriculum development and teacher mentoring. She combines strong passion for reading and writing to motivate and inspire children with a variety of learning styles, abilities, and disabilities, creating a fun and challenging learning environment. As a self-driven leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Pamela Mould effectively collaborates with all levels of students as well as professionals while fostering quality relationships. As a result of teaching Gifted students in an inclusion model, Mrs. Mould has accumulated vast experience working within a diverse population of all grade levels. Her diversity training has not been limited to differences in cultural-based learning, but cognitive, characteristic, physical, and preference-based diversity as well. Mrs. Mould is well versed at empowering those surrounding her through her ability to listen with an open-mind in order to modify and adapt communication to best meet the needs of others.
